Author Information William â€Å"Bill† Fay experienced life on a rollercoaster. His seemingly normal childhood and youth was followed by a double dose of selfishness with a little crime to go along. He was a self-made man, so long as you didn’t count the victims of his crooked gambling. Fay became aware of a growing emptiness that could not be satiated. After several contacts with Christians, Fay ultimately invited Jesus Christ to be his savior. Fay now operates Bread for Life Foundation and hosts a syndicated radio show. Fay†¦show more content†¦(p. 18). The authors present a chapter that proposes ways to pray for nonbelievers. This chapter is especially focused on praying for those individuals the witness may know to be searching but not ready to commit their lives to Jesus(p. 113). The Share Jesus Without Fear program offers a separate New Testament which the witness can mark with suggested Bible verses that lead the individual through the plan of salvation. Share Jesus Without Fear closes with an invitation to complete a commitment form. The authors invite readers to commit themselves to looking for opportunities to witness to individuals with whom they come into contact. (p 183). Evaluation Fay and Shepherd are to be commended for creating this thought provoking book. The authors persuasively implored Christians to encompass witnessing into their lives, then supported their points with specific biblical guidance. For example, when confronted with an individual who declines to accept Jesus because they believe they will be unable to live a Christian life the authors provided Phil. 4:13 as the scriptural response. They were successful in conveying their deep concern for unchurched and lost souls. The authors presented the Christian responsibility for witnessing along with the lost individual’s need to hear the message. The point was well articulated that Christians should live in obedience to God’s Word, to receive strength and understanding through the Holy Spirit.
